Our teachers are facing the biggest behavior challenges they’ve ever had to teach in their classrooms. I’m not sure what exactly is happening (I have my theories), but it’s a crazy thing to see the dead canary in the coal mine. It’s no joke to say every teacher you know if worried about the future.

Students' work ethic is in the toilet
Students are not worried about grades/consequences
Students' respect for elders and peers is shockingly low
Parents blame teachers in conflicts b/w teachers and students, basically always

Granted, this is Not All Students/Parents, but....

My great aunt Bet always laughed when she heard anyone putting down young people. She said her parents generation thought hers wouldn't amount to anything because they were all busy doing the Charleston. Aunt Bet was a teacher and a very wise woman.
