1. Grouping symbols ( ) [ ] { } / __
2. Exponents, Square Rts, etc
3. Multiplication / Division (left to right)
4. Addition / Subtraction (left to right)

Remove the grouping symbols:
60 ÷ 5 (7 - 4)
Multiply or divide in order encountered left to right:
60 ÷ 5 x 3
12 x 3

It's order of operations. PEMDAS. Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication/Division in order left to right, Addition/Subtraction in order left to right.
So solve for the parentheses first, then complete in order, left to right.
