I was taught voting is a duty. Sometimes life interfered, with children and single parenting etc. Now more than ever, we need to take our responsibility seriously.

Exactly. If I sat out elections because I wasn't happy about "something" the ghost of my Dad would come kick my ass.

Absolutely. My Dad taught me it was my duty. Growing up elections were held in the cafeteria of our little school, and Daddy would come vote during my lunch so I could stand next to him while he reminded me that it was my duty, that's why he wore a uniform. No Vote = No Voice.
