Yo, Loblaws, you’re losing my business with your mark-up practices.

Same bottle of pickles, same size. Walmart on the left, $2.47, not even on roll back.
Loblaws is $6.49, and that’s on “sale.”

I would not come to that conclusion based on a sample size of two. Particularly if one of them is from the world's biggest discount merchandiser, that can afford to undercut other shops. Let's see a sample size of say, ten, from arrange of large and small shops in different areas.

Alas, that would be assuming we have multiple options. We have 4. The 3rd & 4th option doesn’t sell these pickles. 4th sells ones somewhat like it- and are $3.97 for half the size. So, they’re the worst, at $7.94 per litre.

I live in a very small area, without much competition. 😔

I'm so sick of this garbage. Grocery shopping is impossible for so many people. Every time I do my order (I buy similar things every time...) the total grows.

That’s why I buy more and more at Costco. Sure, the 6 pack of strained tomatoes is $18.99, but at the grocer it’s $4.99 for 1.
Or chicken… whole chickens are $20. TWENTY BUCKS. But at Costco, I get 3 for $30.
Hell, I even find Lego $10-$30 cheaper at Costco.
The executive membership is worth it.

Evidently, he needs one of those 200ft with a pool, and accommodations for 20.

Plus a new $5M house for that 1 week a year up in northern Ontario.
