Reminder: The CDC's recommendation of waiting 3 months after an infection to get vaccinated has changed. The wording now is you "may" wait, but you can get vaccinated once you test negative.

I got the new vaccine within days of testing negative.

(STILL not a booster.)

Not sure why you were told to wait. Most recent CDC guidance suggests testing negative. Quote from https://www.cdc.gov/corona...
