Researchers gave homeless people $750 per month for a year, no questions asked. The recipients spent the money on food, housing, transportation, clothing, and health care. And after six months, only 12% of those who received funds were still homeless.

It's a GREAT idea.

Which is why we can't have it.

In the US, a measure for UBI would pass if, and only if, they could prevent the "wrong" type of people from getting it. Racism was baked onto the very foundation of our country and we haven't done enough to eradicate it. Until that changes, no UBI.

Yup. It was called Mincome when it was tested in Canada. People got housed, left bad jobs, went back to school, and got better jobs. It was a real success until they cancelled it without notice.
