There’s no shame in using a cane, or any other mobility device. If you have trouble walking, don’t let fear of what strangers think stop you from getting a mobility aid & improving your quality of life. You’re never “too young” for a cane. #Accessibility

My best friend began using a cane after a stroke in her early forties.

I began needing a cane after discharge from the hospital when I was 34yrs old. I'd been in for a month, having been paralyzed from Guillain Barré. I figured if it was my new accessory, than it had to be pretty. So I painted it purple & studded it with rhinestones. That was before I found... /1

Fashionable Canes, a catalog/online cane company. I have a wardrobe of beautiful canes, but before I became bedridden, I'd had to start using my rollator when I was 52yrs old. I didn't like to, even tho it's red, but it beat wiping up the sidewalk, because I can trip over air.🤦🏾‍♀ /2

Absolutely!
And I have learned there are some awesome cane designs. When I use one of mine I usually get a compliment or two.

I had to get a cane at 54 because of neuropathy. Beats busting my skull open on a sidewalk.

I'd be housebound without mine.
Been using it for the last ten years.
