I have a personal friend who is a state judge. Her recent comment to me:

"We all need to get ready for 2024. The courts in this country are being slammed with cases galore over our 2024 elections. We (the judges) can hold back the dam water only for so long. Our courts need help from the voters."

This can be tricky. In Ohio, we vote...but our legislature/reps ignore our legally-won victories. So our only recourse is lawsuits against those bodies. I feel for your judge friend; those who break our laws are the ones saying, "Why legislate? Criminals ignore laws!" It's become their strategy.

Diana, the voters in your state could take up arms to secure their majority votes, however most Ohioans would feel that's a bridge too far.

Apparently not ALL think that taking up arms against the government is a bridge too far (we've had our share of folks arrested for taking part in the Jan. 6 insurrection). But you're right in that most of us are more reasonable than those folks; we're still hopeful about using legal checks/balances.
