#spoutibletips

As Team Whale works to resolve the Timeline issue, one workaround is: instead of clicking on a spout, click the three dot menu, select Copy Link, and paste the link into a new browser tab. Now your place in the original Timeline tab remains unchanged!

In Chrome on Android, you can also accomplish this by pressing and holding the avatar picture of the author of the spout you want to check out. A menu will appear, where you can select “open in a new tab“.

Great tip, thanks!

Am I correct that long pressing the avatar will take you to that person's profile, not the specific spout?

I'm usually browsing on my phone, and I often accidentally end up opening up the spout, which then sends me back to the top of the timeline on close. Irksome!

Nope. For some reason, it opens that spout in the new tab, not their profile.

Interesting, thanks!

I just tried it out a few times and I can see that if I *only* press the avatar, I can open that spout in a new tab, but if my finger fatly also touches the username, that's when I get sent to their profile. Very good to know!

I will echo spelled myself and add your tip
