Please stop saying people in Fl. deserve what we are getting or we should just move. Moving is not an option for me, When you have no national /state support from the Dems, gerrymandering, voter suppression & false messaging we need your support not criticism. This could happen to your state too!

It's happening in Utah & since we're not a swing state and we only have 6 electoral votes, we have next to zero national support.

Thank you. For the last few of years Florida has been nearly 50/50 Dems vs GOP. Now Republicans have taken the lead. Many of us are doing what we can. Many Floridians are focused on living paycheck to paycheck; suffering under high inflation & low wages. Politics is far from the minds of many.

Thank you! It's the same in NC. We used to be a purple state but due to gerrymandering, our legislature is now solidly red. It's hard not to get discouraged. It frustrates me to no end when people say "don't like it, move". It's not that easy w/ family & jobs, and I'd rather see things improve here.

Thank you so much! I wanted to make the point it is not so simple as people think and it is happening in other states. But I am hopeful we can turn it around if we come out in numbers too large to ignore. In Fl.’s there are more Dems & Ind. then Repub. and Ind. lean Dem. . Got to get them to vote!

We’ve been supporting the people of Florida since back in the days of Anita fucking Bryant. We can’t go to your town meetings, talk to your racist, bigoted neighbors, organize, protest & boycott locally, or write to local newspapers. We can’t help until Floridians start actively helping themselves.

As a resident of Florida, I think some targeted messaging would be effective. Big business is already questioning what's going on in Florida. Anything that means less freedom for you and me, means less profit for them. Write companies with HQs in Florida and tell them you expect action.

You should not have to move. Florida is a wonderful state. The election of fascist DeSantis and other Rs is the result of severe gerrymandering and other voter suppression tactics, and yes insufficient Dem support. We need to solve these matters for the entire country. Our Democracy depends on it.
