If everybody who does't want Biden or Trump votes West, West will win. It's simple. If you're going to vote, vote Cornell West.

Voting for a lesser evil is still a vote for evil.

You are allowed to not like Biden for whatever reason, but he’s not evil.

This is so idiotic.

We're talking about fascism versus NOT fascism.
Any vote that is NOT for Biden is a vote for fascism.

The only way a 3rd party will win the presidency is if/when we get ranked-choice voting.

No. It doesn’t work like that. Third party candidates are not viable- they wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything even if they were miraculously elected

Go back to basic maths please. We aren’t voting for a lifelong spouse—a vote for Biden gets us closer to shared goals. It’s unrealistic and frankly immature to imagine otherwise.

Stop listening to these people and vote your interest. Look at the candidates policies, see how you will benefit from the policies and then vote. Also West can’t Win because he won’t be on several State ballot.

Are you a shill?

I ask because this take is so without logic, it's difficult to believe it could be anyone's sincerely-held belief.

You will never get enough people to vote for Cornell West for him to win. We tried this with the green party in 2000 and in 2016. Those votes cost the Democrats and gave the elections to Bush and Trump, who gave us 5 of the worst SCOTUS justices.

This is not an option. It's just not.

2 evils? Pick the side that isn't killing people with uteruses and LGBTQIA+. That's an easy choice

NO, it is the exact opposite

In Ranked Choice Voting, what you say would work

But the current voting system has a basic flaw:

It MATHEMATICALLY FORCES 1- or 2-Party rule, and it ensures that 3rd-parties have no chance

Pretending otherwise may make you feel better

but it elects YOUR WORST ENEMY

Everything you say there is just an excuse to be part of the majority of the population that does not vote. If I am required to pick between one of two evils then there is no choice I may as well stay home. There is no pretense in that.

Also, if you think Cornell West will do less evil in office than Biden, think again

Even if he has good intentions, his record of zero accomplishment & experience indicates a 4-year shirtshow, creating a lot of damage & evil

(The road to hell is paved with good intentions)

Yikes

This only shows that you don´t understand how the system works. Voting for West will reinstall the biggest evil. This being not your intention doesn´t count, because it´s not about intentions, but outcomes.

Clearly you think you know better than I do and you might but you should really look around before you start whining about democracy to someone who's watching fascism take over USA in real time. If you were paying attention you would see it clearly you are not.

Some people voting for Biden aren't voting for necessarily a good candidate. They're voting for a chance that this semblance of a democracy (ha) might survive and improve a little.

Do you think P01135809 got into office because only people who liked him and his policies voted for him?
