Many in the Long Covid and disability communities feel abandoned by Biden. While I personally will vote for Biden, I do know some in these communities who won't. This is why today's Senate hearing on Long Covid was so important.

What would you want Biden to do? I have several friends with long COVID who know the medical community is what they can. What more can be done?

I can’t even with the OP, Deb. You’re a better person than me.

Many people become become deeply focused on their own issue. I understand that. Offering to try and understand helps. It’s my superpower.

There’s probably many more reasons why but, again, you’re a better person than me.
I see the selfishness & willful ignorance and I seethe. It’s the default white privilege setting and all it’s done is wreak havoc on everyone deemed as “other.”
That said, I appreciate your engagement all around!

I understand that you may feel it's a problem to discuss where Biden has lost voters. I, on the other hand, think it's important to identify and understand these people so we can bring them back into the fold. There's still 10 months, and I hope to change their minds and get them to vote for Biden.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. The problem is twofold imo - the simpletons who might feel this way in the first place and then giving these low information voters credence in a way that creates doubt among others. The harm these folks are willing to unleash on themselves and others is selfish.
