@Helenfeguson gun reform, in the US? Long overdue. Though looking at stats for gun ownership by household, it's clear the culture is a major factor in the US gun death issue, and that's harder to address. Do people need guns lying about their house in a civilised society? No. On the other hand are

the gun controls in the UK a good model? No, overly harsh because the last school shooting in the UK, that prompted the drastic change, was a failure of enforcement of the existing controls. Though some aspects of UK very sensible e.g. requirement for renewable permit, and gun/ammo kept secure.
