I'm kind of the same way, although whether online or in person what really matters for me is how good the teacher is.

Very true. I also developed a preference for tenured professors because their syllabus would be a true outline of the course, running multiple pages. Newer professors had a single page copy of the course catalog description. When you're also working 35hrs/wk, it can be a game changer for studying!

That helps a lot. Also the advantage of most online classes, as they typically have to be laid out clearly in advance.
