Could be a pinched nerve.

I had Bells Palsy and the twitching morphed into one side of my face being paralyzed.

Steroids did the trick to fix it.
Also a good adjustment by a chiropractor resolved a lot of issues for me.

I have some specific twitching (mine is above an eyebrow) when something is seriously stressing me out. It can be years between occurrences and usually resolves on its own as things calm down or I calm down. Hope you are able to feel better.
