Biden wasn't on the ballot in New Hampshire and he still won. Dean Phillips can't even win when Biden isn't on the ballot.

I know Dean's family personally and while some may not agree with his reason for running, I can tell you that he is doing it with eyes wide open and knows the criticism that he will and does receive. I may not agree with his decision to run, but I like knowing there could have been another option.

Liz Cheney said that if we want to ensure the peaceful transfer of power in 2025 Democrats MUST have the House. That's why every House Democrat needed to be hustling with 100% effort to make sure Hakeem has that gavel in January.

Dean should have been working on THAT.

And it paid off.

I don't think Marianne Williamson had any idea how much she was antagonizing the people in that state. After all, NH went with Bernie Sanders twice. So there should have been a market for her.

Instead, she softened the field for Joe.
And Dean outdid her at her own game.

Maybe running reinforces the desire of the voters to elect Biden? Forcing people to take part in the voting process rather than just say oh I guess it'll be Biden?

I think it had exactly that effect in New Hampshire. People in that state are known for keeping their opinions to themselves. Both of Dean and Marianne Williamson believed NH citizens were keeping affection for them close to the best.

They were keeping respect for Joe in there.
