Growing up in Texas, you have access to the best donuts. You never even realize it until you leave the state. The best donut shops were/are owned by Asian families. Their recipe is just lighter than any others. Are the Asian family donut shops unique to Texas?

Huh, not the usual Texas information blurb I'm used to. Very interesting! I'd love some lighter doughnuts! They are very cakey up here, which apparently is what people want and like around here, but then that also keeps me from eating a million of them! Looking for the positives. 😉

I have found a couple good options, but they aren't the same. And, pigs in a blanket are non-existent. They were the best! Little sausages enclosed in the fluffiest, slightly sweet dough. 😋 Literally the only thing I have missed about Texas.

😂 My aunt made me go find some pigs in a blanket for her, as she needed to have them & we tried several. (I did my own but it was a PIA 😉 so we needed a pre-made option). In the end, the Hebrew National ones won out for best hot dog. Since then tho Sabrett Cocktail Franks have had a lot of 👍 too!
