Do you just look at your parents and notice they are growing old and get this really tight feeling in your chest?

Our body is marked with the lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It is beautiful!

Your parents are living, breathing historians. Spend time with them, listen to their stories. Ask them all of the questions now that you may one day wish you had. Share their stories with your children. By doing so you are planting seeds for the oral teaching of your family history.

This. I think about how many times a parent or a grandparent told me about a game they used to play or a song they used to listen to; the then uninteresting details about their lives at the time, and wish I'd asked more questions.
