So get this, at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada the average starting salary is $15/hr

Store managers make all of $20/hour to start. Full-time that’s $3,200,mth for a Store Manager!

First, it’s not a livable wage anywhere in Canada.

Second, I guess that’s why the Weston family are billionaires.

That's not a liveable wage here either, but they tout $15/hr like it's just great. Living wages in the US would average $26/hr.

I think they should tie the minimum wage to median rent with a minimum of say $22/hr. Big cities would have higher wages due to higher rent. It's not perfect but a start.

My wife interviewed for a job there, interviewed and came home and researched it, $20/hour for a manager, I was gobsmacked.

That’s food bank level earnings
