Here’s the deal: We stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential.

I agree about the shaming, but disagree on companies that provide essentials earning profits. Profits are OK and fuel innovation, but when you are gouging and not innovating ie petroleum market, that's not OK. When you are reporting record profits, with no innovations to show for it, that's not OK.

When you are making record profits during a pandemic, that's not OK. And when you use those metrics to then fuel your need to continually increase profits, for the sake of shareholders, that's not OK.

I think a truly FREE market is a good thing. But we don't have a FREE market in the US, as much as politicians from a certain persuasion would like you to believe.
