"But Biden's age" is a dog whistle for "but that Black woman could be president." Biden and Trump are nearly the same age, and both are known for making gaffes, but journalists and pundits would have you believe Biden is considerably older than Trump and more at risk of not being able to do the job.

So why all the focus on Biden's age and not Trump? Because Biden has a Black female vice president, and the idea of VP Harris ascending to the highest office is a bridge too far for many in the media. They would rather have another Trump presidency than have VP Harris become POTUS.

They know the age argument is a hard sell with Trump in the race, so they have started to cast doubt on VP Harris. I have read op-eds and watched commentary on how VP Harris is unqualified or not ready for the job, and my response to that is, shut the fuck up. No, really, shut the fuck up.

VP Harris spent 10+ years in prosecutorial roles, 4 years as a Senator, and 3+ years as Vice President. But some of these unserious nincompoops would have you believe someone with VP Harris' experience is less qualified to be President than a real estate developer / reality TV personality.

Should anything happen to President Biden, VP Harris would be one of the most qualified people in U.S. history to ascend to the highest office. We have systems in place to ensure a smooth transition, and America will continue on. Eight U.S. presidents died while in office; we are not new to this.

So the next time someone tries to suggest Biden is too old and/or VP Harris isn't qualified, tell the unserious nincompoop to fuck off because they are more worried about a Black woman in the Oval Office than the fate of our country.

Yeah, he's handled everything quite well.
And he likely will again.
But his placement would mean Mike Johnson was much closer in succession if he dies from age or the stress of the job, than if it was Kamala as Pres and another VP.
The fallout from RBG should have taught people.
In response to David James.

Personally I think he'll make it through to November, and so will Kamala :). I really don't think Mike Johnson will.
