Stop sending your kids to Florida schools. Hit them where it hurts. No students, no money.

The University of Florida has fired all positions associated with diversity, equity and inclusion at the school. The move comes almost a year after Republican Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning state colleges from spending money on DEI.

Gently suggest that Florida has many fine private colleges and universities (including HBCUs) that enthusiastically support DEI.

Those are schools IN Florida. Not Florida schools. But yes. Many awesome private universities. Some are on the brink. FAMU, for example, fights back as much as possible but is still subject to the state university system. I will always support schools that support diversity.

Some history...

I’d hate to see Stetson or Bethune-Cookman (for example) suffer because anyone thought they had abandoned DEI. FAMU is a public state university, and battling against the absurd anti-free speech laws passed by Florida Republicans must be intense.

They're fine. No one is disparaging them.
