Emmitt Smith has officially taken the field in the fight against Florida's anti-DEI efforts.

Now it's time for Black athletes to unite and join him.

Maybe POC & white athletes can step up and join them to have larger numbers. I think anti-DEI harms everyone, so the more support these efforts have, the better.

We agree. Overall support would be great, but it has to start with Black athletes as they are the ones directly impacted by these horrendous policies in Florida. They need to understand their position and power, unite and fight for change.

While systemic racism targets marginalized groups, it’s a gross miscalculation to assume those in power/privilege are somehow insulated from its violent effects

Disagree. It has to start with influential white people. It's designed and perpetuated by white people and needs to be dismantled by white people. You don't require victims to solve their own crimes.

We can ask, "What do you need us to do" and follow instructions.

Definitely agree with you, as well. I hope it happens and is successful. It's beyond time for meaningful change anywhere it can be achieved.
