She didn't say the election was rigged in the sense of overcounting/undercounting. She pointed out that crypto people and Schiff spent over $20 million dollars to keep her out of the Senate.

Respectfully disagree. She is one of a few politicians focusing in a big way on institutionalized economic unfairness to women and the working class. She decided to go for a bigger platform for that; not power in itself.

Then Porter used the wrong word because election rigging is illegal and deception is a key part of its definition.

She could have said she was outspent and that made it hard to get her message across. Instead she misused an inflammatory word to discredit the process. She knows better.

Good point. As a former Californian, though, I felt sick at Schiff using $11M of contribution dollars to pump up Garvey's campaign, all because he was too afraid to run head to head against Katie Porter. How about letting Californians decide which Dem they want to represent them?

Yeah, big money in politics is not good for democracy. Most voters agree with that. But that's how the game is currently played and if Porter had the money she likely would have spent it also. It is frustrating, but underfunded candidates can win if voters like them - and voters do know Porter.
