Yup, constantly quiz my young adult children on movies and push them to watch some classics... neglecting the rich tapestry of pop culture, we're overlooking an important facet of our collective identity, also missing out on a vital tool that can sharpen their intellect and cultural understanding.

Yesterday I was quite shocked to learn that DS had never heard of Alfred Hitchcock. She didn't know Psycho, The Birds, Shadow of a Doubt, Rebecca...none of it. As I told @katiec1212 I admit I'm a snob when it comes to film history and classic Hollywood. But how you never heard of Psycho?

In response to Jason Bu_ ☕.
All of this. I was just a kid in the early 80s when I was introduced to Hitchcock. My mother loved Rebecca, my father loved Psycho and The Birds. I was just as captivated with those films as I was E.T. and Star Wars. It definitely heightened my intellect and curiosity.
