A couple days a go my friend, a public school teacher for 10 years, had all of her student loans forgiven. $65K of debt wiped out like that.

Thank you, President Biden. The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program wasn't working till his administration fixed it.

Awwww, that's wonderful!! ALL teachers deserve to have their student loans automatically paid off after a few years educating children who will be the leaders of our tomorrow, but since they're not, it's made me really happy to hear hers were forgiven---such fabulous news!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💗

I mentioned the other day the life changing amounts colleagues of mine were forgiven. Late last week the powers-that-be decided a different, previously unavailable, loan forgiveness program has now been interpreted to be available to us. This could help certain folks with less than 10 yrs service.

Ha! I know what you mean, but the whole concept seems a lot rarer here (except for the occasional jerk who deserves a ratio-ing...).

My daughter is a nurse and is on-track to have her student loans forgiven. She's also taken advantage of lower payments allowed by this Administration.
Loan forgiveness will release an enormous amount of consumer spending that currently goes towards paying down debt.

Mine was, too. I was down to $17K, but was starting to fear I'd be eligible to retire before I finished. Game changer indeed.

Yes! I have a friend who had her’s forgiven as well. People *are* benefitting and more would if we didn’t have so many in Congress hell bent on preventing it.

I am utterly secular but can see having a grudge against Usury. Especially, blatant usury.
