I love how some folks think a competent president can make all the bad things magically go away. Instead of realizing that we could have even more national stability with a functioning congress/supreme court and better state and local representation as well. The onus is on US.

I agree. In some ways, local elections are more consequential to people's daily lives than national or even state ones.
