Trump could structure the sales deal to be sold back to him at X price on X date. Much the same as foreclosure/tax lien sales. Purchaser gets the property but has to give it back in X days if Seller pays the tax lien. If Trump loses the appeal, then the Buyer is the winner at a fire-sale price.

I don’t think that argument would hold water since anyone who lost this kind of case could avoid paying penalties. Also Trumps claim is that the court was wrong because his property is actually worth more like he said, but if that were true he would have enough equity to raise the needed $$$.
