Because the fediverse is a peer-trust system of organizing access to the Internet, each user access point is expected to meet certain security requirements to keep all users safe from cyber malfeasance. Users with the knowledge to build connections to other appls can be their own FB or Twitter.

Crystal, the fediverse is a decentralized way for people to use the Internet. Instead of of having one centralized entity (e.g., Meta, Google, etc.) controlling access to and utility of the Internet, every user is given the tools to access and use the Internet on their own.
