I just saw a TV spot for Hooters that seemed (sound was off) to feature a young woman going there after hours with bro coworkers.

Am I alone in thinking that asking a female colleague to stop at Hooters after work would be distinctly weird?

It is weird, but it is also how you prove you're "one of the boys," so they include you in other work things.

In response to RA.
I have a workgroup with an MS Teams account titled “the boys”.

It is currently 75% women.
When I found out about it, I asked them to change the name to a gender neutral one.
They refused.

It’s a weird ownership/victory thing that I’m not going to get twisted up over.

I would change my avatar to Starlight immediately then, but I work for myself now because of shit like this.
