So I was doing banking for my brother, moving $ around & I lost track of what I was doing and the ATM ate the debit card for our joint account. Ugh. Luckily they could tell at their end that it happened so my new card is on the way. I hope it doesn't mess up automatic payments. We shall see.

Me too. And I was so proud of myself for getting the 2nd receipt & I totally spaced out that it hadn't spit out the card until I heard it beeping from my chair inside Tower City. D'oh!

I haven't used a machine in years because of experiences like that. I've gone old school and pester the tellers.

That does seem to be the trend. And in actual banks the customer service model has completely changed over the past decade.
