For 15yrs I worked on a futuristic trilogy. It failed because I started rewriting it halfway through, then got stuck again before hitting the middle. Then the real world started being too much like what I'd imagined... 😬

I gave up, worked on a simpler novel, finished it 3yrs later.

Then did an outline for old fanfic WIP. Could I tackle the Trilogy outline too?

Eh... Lost my job... COVID outbreaks... Trilogy plots in the real world again? Nope. Draft 2 of finished novel? Let's go.

Mother's cancer took a bad turn... Priorities shift again. I'll broaden fanfic WIP outline?

Ooh, I like this, but can I write it? Just try...

COVID lockdowns secured enough free time to write during day & with Mum's health improving there's free time at night.

Upload 2 chapters. Actually have readers. Get excited by their excitement. Feedback keeps me sane.

World "reopens", people get sick, I stay away from them to keep healthy & keep writing.

No job prospects with this disability. Keep writing.

My best friend died. Knew her for 20yrs. She read almost everything I wrote in that time. Grieve... a lot, but... keep writing.

300K words at halfway mark. Still writing.

Not as much feedback as before. Not as sane about it either.

Still writing.

Slowly.

Need stimulation. TV shows not cutting it.

Trilogy outline? Project too big to write now but I could sort out subplots. That's where things went wrong before...

All that to say that I'm doing #campnanowrimo in April & my project will be the outline for the 1st book in my futuristic trilogy.

I'll update my progress as much as I can. It'll likely get referred to as "EBJK" which are the initials for Bk1's title.
