Iron disregulation is an issue in LongCovid and in MECFS. It doesn't always solve the problem for everyone, but it's worth it to try - especially, if you're able to catch it right after a covid19 infection.
Had covid19? Get your iron and ferritin levels checked.

Super interesting. One in my gaggle of illnesses is acute intermittent porphyria which has to do with heme metabolism. It can jack up so much. The iron metabolism issue in long covid surely has to do something with this "heme pathway."

It's a very tricky nutrient... Absolutely should be monitored by a doctor and regular checkups are needed.

Not too many people get their ferritin levels checked on a yearly basis. All women , esp menstruating women should have Ferritin levels checked on a yearly basis just for baseline info.
