The flip side of Trump winning is Biden wins, the House flips and the Senate stays even. We hear plenty about what happens if Trump wins but not the impact of the other scenario. I think if that happens it sets up for a decent run for the Dems. Here is my reasoning.

1. Trump has slowly destroyed the GOP and it won’t be easy to recover from it. Even if he loses, the cult will remain a thorn in their side and difficult to wrangle into anything that resembles a unified party.

2. Due to the first point, there won’t be a clean transition of party leadership.

3. The continued lack of unity and leadership will open a huge opportunity for the Dems to take and keep majorities at the national level and make inroads elsewhere at state and local levels.

4. The Dems have a much better bench of potential national leadership candidates compared to the GOP.

Look at this strong group : Harris, Newsom, Whitmer, Shapiro, Beshear, Pete B., etc…. Who does the GOP have even close to any of these options? None!!! Defeating Trump in 2024 could result in a historic political shift for this country beyond just that little priority of saving democracy.
