The Robbie Robertson news has hit me hard. I became a big fan of The Band while in college (80’s) and they heavily influenced my taste in music since then. He was a giant who wrote some of the greatest songs ever recorded. RIP Robbie.

Much of the current discourse seems to be directly related to the idea of sin as crime. Sin is a theological/philosophical concept so when you begin equating sin with criminality, a slide into theocracy isn’t far behind. Society at large should define crime, not religious extremism.
