Canada is bilingual Quebec is its own ecosystem. The war was ended by signing a contract that honours the Quebec ers to protect their heritage as they see fit. It enriches us all when we include everyone.

I agree "everyone includes the rest of Canada" but my statement is essentially anti-Quebec, oh well

I am sorry! I missed the Parisian part and took a totally wrong meaning. That is a strange requirement. I thought you were questioning the need for a test in French. My appologies!

Canada became bilingual in 1969… I remember the narrative back then, as I remember, was about Quebec having closer ties with France.

Quebec has done just that, outsourcing the French testing to France doesn’t surprise me at all.

Makes no sense to me, but I’m just an English speaker

I would rather entertain peculiarities than fight. A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. All of humanity shares more in common than differences. I prefer to focus there. Every one of the billions here brings a gift. Wonder and light lie ahead of us. I am eager to see what is next :)

This is absolutely true. We are much more similar than we are different.

Perhaps, sinner of Quebecs drive for independence spills over from colonialism. Just a thought.
