We had a heat pump in the late 80's that wasn't very efficient. I'm excited by the progress and hope to get a newer model sometime soon. I love that they are using this in low income housing, too!

I had a heat pump in a new construction house built in 2005 and I hated it. I never felt warm enough. I'd wear my winter coat inside over 3 layers. I currently have an energy efficient boiler with hot water baseboards and I've never felt more comfortable despite a lower temp setting.

I want to be a good climate citizen. I replaced the OG boiler w an energy efficient model. But feeling warm at a 65° setting in a 1960s house rather than cold w a heat pump at a 75° setting in an energy star rated new build is hard to deny.
I'd pay for a boiler that could run off solar panels.
