So after six months of physical therapy, I met with an orthopedic surgeon today and I’m having my first full knee replacement in September and the second on in Jan/Feb. I’m terrified but also so done with this fucking pain. I want to walk and hike again. I’m ready!

I ride with many with new knees. One would never know if they didn't mention it.

Oh I ride too! Thank God I’ve been able to continue bike riding throughout all of this because I’d really be depressed if I couldn’t hop on my bike and go for 20 or so miles. Biking is so freeing!

After surgery, the trick is to take the pain medication 45 minutes to an hour before physical therapy

Yes, pain relief is gonna be a big thing for me. Again, I’m terrified but I know this has to happen.
