The Arizona laws are separate statutes. The abortion ruling has nothing to do with the age of consent law.
(By 1912, when Arizona became a state, the age of consent had been changed to 18.)

In Tennessee Republicans are fight to have the age of consent be 12 years of age.

The Arizona Supreme Court, by enacting the 1864 abortion ban, lowered the state's age of consent to 10 years of age.

Lots of muddled up news stories that morph into inaccurate social media posts.

The fact that Arizona long ago dropped that hideous 1864 statute about 10 yr olds *helps* the argument that the state shouldn't follow the hideous 1864 abortion law, either.

Hopefully it will work out that way. Voters need to use their heads and realize the harm that 1864 abortion law will cause here in my state. I do not have a ton of faith that the majority will do the right thing 😖
