Here’s an in depth look at some bills that did & did not pass in Kentucky. One I am flummoxed as to why it made it on the ballot in November reads as follows:

“ SB 143 (Sen. Jason Howell) Prohibit people who are not United Citizens from voting in elections held in Kentucky. ” Isn’t already illegal for non citizens to vote in elections?

As far as I can tell, Kentucky already requires all voters to be U.S. citizens in order to register.

It's political posturing.

KY is a limited home rule/Dillon's rule state. Maybe they want to prevent a city from creating its own local voter rolls for local elections? Hypocrites.

I honestly don’t know what rethuglicans here are trying, but I do know I’m voting No on that amendment because it’s not needed.

It's one of those things that they turn into a big issue when it isn't an issue of voter fraud at all.
It's also none of their damn business if San Francisco wants to allow legal residents to vote for its school board.
