I’m a Twitter refugee coming here via Post.

Post never managed to replace the (autistic) community on Twitter. We’ll see if Spoutible can - I have my doubts, unfortunately.

So far what I have seen from the news feed has been very US-centric - I would love to be able to get Australian news here.

I will miss the longer form posts from Post. Already I can feel the 300 character limit constraining my desire to say anything meaningful as I tend to revise my writing quite a bit as I develop my thoughts around what I am wanting to say, and working in chunks makes it so much more difficult.

And yes, I can write in another app, and then chunk into a spout thread, but that adds a level of friction that discourages writing in longer form.

I suppose I’ll have to wait and see if this works for me.

The obligatory (as was custom at Post) pet photo on the first spout.

This is Bear, one of many.

I get the frustration with the character limit - I see others have explained threading, and how you can do it. There are plenty of neurodivergent people here - if you search autism or neurodivergent, you'll probably find lots of people to explore.
