Re: that third point - haven’t Palestinians clearly said “No” every time a two-state solution has been offered to them, dating all the way back to 1949?

Big fallacy. 1947 partition plan offered 55% land to 12% of the population, including the city my mother was from. All other "offers" were for incongruous bundistans with no sovereignty over borders, water, seashore, or even the population registry (who gets to live there).

But doesn’t everything you said basically boil down to “Yes, you’re right, they’ve refused it every time, and here’s why”?

So if I offer you $10 for your house you'd refuse every time so it's your fault when I violently take it. Yes, we refused bundistans and rightfully so.

Believe what you will. I’m not going to bicker with you.

Just stop whining about the UN not giving Palestinians something they’ve rejected every time it’s been offered to them.

An insincere offer is not an offer. That's not my belief, that's what actually happened. Again, sell me your house for $10. I'll offer it to you many times before I take it by force and tell you that you rejected all my offers. Try and look at it from the Palestinian perspective for once.

As I understand “the Palestinian perspective”, a great deal of it has to do with taking “their” lands back from the Jews, yes? “From the river to the sea”, isn’t that the Palestinian perspective, at least in large part?

No, the river to the sea Palestine will be free means freedom and equality for all, including Jews, who live on the land. As opposed to the current apartheid occupation in the West Bank, siege in Gaza, and the religious ethno state in Israel. If Israel can only exist in inequality then????

Just so we’re clear, I think Israel is committing genocide. But I also think Hamas brought this down on Palestinians’ heads themselves. I also think Hamas could end the suffering any time it wants, by surrendering their hostages. They choose not to. So they aren’t serious about ending the war.

The Israeli excuse of bringing it down on the Palestinians is a classic abusive partner's "look what you made me do!" excuse. Hamas is a symptom of the occupation and siege and there will be another Hamas by another name if occupation continues. Israel has Palestinian hostages and Hamas wants them.

Brother, I don’t know where you hail from. But in my country, we have an entire political party that, like you, refuses to see any wrongdoing among their own.

Chatting with someone who can’t be wrong is a waste of my time. Live well, friend. 👋

May you live well too friend, and see the light. I live in Virginia and know all about the GQP. But I will never tell a people how they should resist their oppressors.
