I recommend that everyone read the "Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society," about the German occupation. You will learn a lot.

It's a great book. My husband and I can't agree on who read it and recommended it first. But we so enjoyed it and still talk about it today!

I sent this book to my mother years ago, and she called me while reading to tell me how much she was enjoying it. She was born in 1931 and had a great interest in WW2 stories. Also found it romantic. I think the book was more effective than the movie.

I have read this book several times and it is stunning, in a very bad way. A great book.

Yes, it is the first book that I immediately reread after finishing it the first time, and I've read it again since. In fact, maybe it's time again.....
