It's been that kind of a day.

I volunteer at the Red Cross, and had a distraught woman come in asking about directed donation. She broke down... her husband was dying, but would only accept blood from relatives.

Didn't dawn on me immediately, but they were likely vaccine-phobic.

The process of directed donation involves weeks of time, and thousands of dollars.

She left in a rage, as we really couldn't help her. She accused us of wanting to kill her husband.

The Red Cross will be dealing with this nonsense for decades. Thanks, Trump.

From "They only would accept blood only from relatives," to, "...they must be vaccine-phobic," is a very long walk; past the Red Cross spoiled record of separation of blood by race & God knows what else only recently succumbed to science. Past human's immortal belief in cultural expression by blood.

I agree with you... there's a bad racial component that still exists in society today. But it isn't a big jump right now to assume vaccine-phobic, given the place I live.

And Alex Jones, and Mike Adams, and QAnon... the list is actually pretty long.
