If the Supreme Court rules that people can be punished for being homeless, I think we should ask them if cities and politicians can be punished for denying funding for homeless shelters, vocational training, and job placement.

If we were truly a functioning country with government that actually cared about our people, this case would spawn massive discussion and actions that addressed the root causes of homelessness rather than sitting back and watching SCOTUS make sleeping outdoors illegal. it’s nothing but cruelty.
