Has anyone successfully learned to speak conversational Spanish as an adult?

I studied Spanish for 6 years in HS and college but never got very fluent. Now using duolingo, YouTube and seeking out grammar/conjugation info and trying to crash learn Italian for an upcoming trip.

The info and tools available today are amazing.

I’ve heard many recommendations for duolingo. TY!

the Spanish course on Duolingo is very good, it has grammar explanations, personalised practice, listening and speaking, even mini-podcasts. there is also a Duolingo podcast in Spanish. But it won't get you to fluency. there is no replacement for conversation & immersion
