So, do they throw you back into prison if you don't pay?

Florida is charging formerly incarcerated people $50 a day even if they’re no longer in prison. The “pay to stay” fee is based on the length of the original sentence,

It's hard to even get your mind around the point of this. $50 a day is $1,500 per month. For people who are least likely to b able to afford it.

I can't understand why people think retribution is the correct way, when rehabilitation is the desired outcome. You won't get to that through retribution.

Considering what the SC is hearing today, would suggest that the intent is that the best stuff is reserved for white men.
