The “expert” opinion doesn’t pass the laugh test. We have plenty of military bases in Europe for staging equipment. Go time for getting supplies to Ukraine is immediate. Duh…
Karen Springer @Springer
So called "expert" talking heads on the news, the other day, speculating that it could take weeks or months to get this equipment to Ukraine. When, in reality, it had already been reported that the Pentagon was ready to rock.
All they do is underestimate this administration.
No respect.

I actually view the current bases as a better defined and well adapted logistical model. Less bottlenecks. The US doesn't have the same footprint as what was needed during the Cold War. The basing in place for Ukraine is essentially what was used to support ops in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Take it for it's worth too. I'm just an average person observing publicly available information and data. I try to maintain a long memory of lots of things. I claim no special or insider information.

Many of the Cold War bases have been turned over for civilian development, same as here in the US.

Forgot I had this bookmarked. It's actually a good high-level resource.
