The Supreme Court needs to simply rule that the framers did not intend for a president to have absolute immunity for official acts—no one is above the law.

As Justice Alito asserted in Dobbs, the Constitution doesn’t mention abortion and doesn’t implicitly protect it under any provision, and similarly, it does not spell out immunity for presidents.

Based on the allegations in this indictment, Trump should not be granted immunity from criminal accountability. The case should be remanded for trial to avoid the hypothetical doom loop that Justices Alito, Kavanaugh, and Roberts grappled with yesterday.
