Mississippi mosquitos take no prisoners.

Over on the Eastern Shore, two mosquitoes swoop down and carry off a cow. As they fly off, they argue about what to do with it.

One says, "We should take it to the riverbank and eat it there."

"No!" the other replies, "If we do that, the big mosquitoes there will take it away from us!"

In Maryland, we call these damsel flies. And don’t kill them unless they are annoying us inside our homes.
